Summer Schedule Change!

Due to low turnout in May and June, those of us left for the summer in the St Helena Poison Pen Book Club have decided to suspend meetings until September. We will keep our same reading choices, but move them to different dates. Call Fran at 255-6488 or 255-6487 with questions.
Enjoy your summer!

We had a lively discussion of Gideon Smith and the Mechanical Girl. We were not particularly pleased with the new trend in mysteries of throwing in lots of genres. In this case we identified horror, adventure, science fiction, alternative history, and steam punk. The language was not quite right for Victorian England either. Still, reading the book was an interesting experiment.
Someone out there likes it. The author has been asked by his publisher to make this novel into a trilogy.
